"Taylor, what did you do?" ... "I colored."

Taylor got her hands on a blue marker this morning when Mommy was out of the room. Like a true artist, she showed me her "work" and was quite proud of it, until she realized that her clothes and body weren't exactly the best canvas- oops!

Check out Kate's interpretation of my it.

I Highly Recommend...

It has completely and totally changed my perspective on parenting. After reading this, I feel like I'm spending less energy getting my kids to behave- and it really works. I have my two year old doing things that absolutely amaze me. It really does teach what it says- how to parent as Christ would. In fact, as you implement the principles like patience, joy, love, and non-reviling, you actually become more Christlike yourself and your children behave so much better in the process- killing two birds with one stone! If you haven't already read this, please pick up a copy- it will definitely be worth your while. I just cannot say enough good things about it...

PS- You can buy it online at I'm not sure if the guy is LDS or not so it might be at regular bookstores. I actually bought mine at

sweet taylor ...

She really is growing up ... she seems a year older after our weekend away.

Her latest claim is that she is now a "big girl," but we know that isn't official 'til she's potty-trained ... we are hoping that happens soon.

Brian and I took a weekend ski trip to Utah with the Dardanos and Shumways- sans kids. We were able to stay in my parents' cabin at Sundance and it was perfect- the weather was great and the skiing/snowboarding was so fun...the company wasn't too shabby either! Thanks to mom and dad for letting us take over the place for the weekend. We hit up Cafe Rio, of course, as well as my old fave, The Pizza Factory. We were even able to squeeze in some family time- my brother Beau and his roommate met us up for a little skiing and then dinner on Friday. All in all, it was a win-win (that ones for you, Dad!) because our kids had so much fun at their Nana and Papa's- they weren't really interested in coming home after we showed up. We can't wait to do it again...

a cool 80 degrees ...

We went exploring after church on was such a beautiful day here. The girls loved every minute of their adventure and could have spent all day throwing rocks in the stream and running up to the top of this big hill and back...they thought they were "at the top of the world"- think big kids, think big....

Pumas are # 1!

We won our division championship on Monday night. This past season has been so much fun and I can hardly wait to start all over again on Monday night. I know this isn't the best picture- but you get the idea- its such a fun group of girls and our weekly soccer games are certainly something to look forward to.
